VIERA Link gives you unprecedented power over compatible Panasonic products so that you can use just a single remote control to manage your entire AV system. It works by making full use of the capabilities of HDMI, the digital interface which combines uncompressed high-definition video and multi-channel audio in a single digital cable. For end-users, the fact that just a single cable carries audio and video signals dramatically simplifies the installation of home theatre systems and eliminates the cable quagmires of the past. VIERA Link now takes this convenience to the next level by enabling users to use the same HDMI cables to also transmit control signals between different devices. What that means is you get universal control of all your HDMI home theatre equipment, without having to try to figure out which remote control to use. Just point the VIERA remote at your TV, and the signal will travel over the HDMI wires to the right piece of equipment.

Using only the VIERA Remote Control it is possible to operate and control your DIGA DVD Recorder, Blu-ray Disc Player, or HD Camcorder. At the touch of a button, you are simply and easily able to playback a previously recorded programme, record a future broadcast, or even pause live TV if you have DIGA DVD Recorder attached to your VIERA via HDMI. Similarly you can play back a film in glorious Full HD quality using your connected Blu-ray Disc Player using just your VIERA remote. Even your Panasonic HD Camcorder can be operated, when attached to your VIERA, using only the same VIERA remote control! Say goodbye to the confusion and hassle of switching between several different remote control units - it doesn't get any easier than this!

SDHC Card Reader – View your photos and home videos on VIERA TVs beautiful screens
As digital cameras are now ubiquitous we now include a SDHC slot on our top-of-the-range VIERA TVs.* This means that you can simply slip your SD or SDHC memory card out of your digital camera, insert it directly into the VIERA, and immediately view your snapshots on VIERAs large screen! VIERA's advanced imaging technologies bring photos dramatically to life with vibrant colour and extraordinary detail which simply fills the 16:9 high definition screen! What’s more, if you have a Panasonic SD camcorder you can also directly watch the footage you have taken in AVCHD format**. Simply place your SD card into the SD slot on the VIERA TV and get ready to watch your HD video directly on the flat screen. Again you get all the fun of seeing your images with none of the annoyance of connecting cables!
