VIERA LCD V-real Technology

The fruit of Panasonic's award-winning picture performance heritage is found inside each Panasonic VIERA LCD TV in the shape of the unique V-real 3 (for HD) and V-real PRO 3 (for full HD) collection of leading-edge imaging technologies.

See it all with VIERA TVs

Panasonic takes a holistic approach to both R&D and picture performance and therefore V-real technology* covers the three major components of a TV: the Processors, Drivers, and actual Display Panels themselves. All are developed in-house and in-tandem to ensure that every single device and component is optimised to work together delivering uncompromising picture quality.

Crystal clear motion

V-real 3 and V-real PRO 3 Drivers
The high-performance drivers optimise the performance of the display panel. This helps render images that have smooth, crystal-clear motion and delicate colours with rich gradation.

Vivid colours even from sharp angles

IPS-Alpha Panels
IPS Alpha Full-HD and HD panels provide superb viewing from just about any angle. You see bright, vivid pictures without washout not only from horizontal, but also from vertical viewing angles. This expanded view-ability makes the IPS Alpha panel ideal for homes where people get together to watch TV. Everyone in your room gets a great view. The extra-wide viewing angle makes a VIERA perfect when enjoying a movie with the whole family or when stretching out on the sofa all by yourself.

Unlike conventional LCD panels, IPS liquid crystal molecules rotate parallel to the screen so there is less difference in contrast regardless of the viewing angle. This panel has a viewing angle of 178 degrees both vertically and horizontally eliminating faded images that can occur by viewing the panel from certain seating positions. Performance is so good that IPS panels are now widely accepted for use in medical displays, where high image quality is critical.

Clear Panel
Ambient Light around a LCD TV can have a negative effect on the appearance of the on-screen black-levels and brilliance of the colours. Our flagship VIERA LZD800 series LCDs come with clear panel. The screen is covered with a non-reflective special resin which works to diffuse ambient light so that it is not reflected back to the viewer.
