High Definition Photos
When we take a great picture we want to share it with our family and friends, however some LCD screens on the back of today’s digital cameras are too small. Although better, the standard 12.1” laptop screens are not ideal either. Accordingly, all new Lumix cameras are now equipped with a “HD Photo” mode which allows you to shoot with 1,920 x 1,080-pixel resolution and a wide 16:9 aspect ratio -- allowing you to share your photos in the best possible environment: on your widescreen High Definition TV in your living room. Now you can fill the screen with the smiling faces of your family and friends, in breath-taking high definition clarity!

Furthermore it is not only still images from your camera that you can watch back on your widescreen TV, but also movies. Many Lumix cameras also come equipped with the ability to record wide 16:9 aspect HD-quality movies. Captured directly by your Lumix in 1,280 x 720 pixels quality and a frame rate of 30/15 fps, you can record memorable family moments in superb, vivid HD quality and then replay them afterwards on your widescreen TV. Compared with the conventional WVGA (848 x 480 pixels at 30/10 fps) or VGA (640 x 480 pixels at 30/10 fps) recording offered by most digital still cameras, the HD quality movies captured by Lumix cameras look both more beautiful and smoother!

Easy HDTV connection
Now it is easier than ever to enjoy your HD-quality still or moving images on a Panasonic Viera TV as many have built-in SD/SDHC memory card slots for photo playback, and a specially-made designed-for-Lumix HD output component cable for video is also available.
