The same high quality you expect from a Panasonic colour copier, but in a compact A4 device

Panasonic has taken everything it has learnt from its award-winning A3 colour MFPs and incorporated it into a new range of A4 desktop devices. With the launch of the Panasonic KXMC6000 Series, small businesses and home workers can now produce the same high quality, professional colour documents as larger competitors with bigger budgets and greater resources.

The network-ready A4 devices are also perfect for small departments and individuals in larger businesses who for reasons of privacy or convenience require a local device that can print and distribute documents to the same high standard as departmental A3 devices.

Print/copy/scan/fax
The KX-MC6000 Series of colour laser all-in-ones combine a 20 pages per minute colour A4 printer, flatbed copier, colour scanner and fax, with the sorts of productivity features not normally found on A4 desktop devices.

These include a 50-sheet automatic document feeder that speeds up the scanning and copying of mixed batches or multi-page documents; and an optional duplex unit that enables users to print on both sides of the page and produce vibrant, full colour booklets.

The top-of-the-range KX-MC6260 also features an SD card slot that lets you scan to and print from an SD card independently of a PC; and a 3.6in colour LCD screen for simpler job programming and the viewing of thumbnail images.

Single pass print engine
The KX-MC6000 Series is based on a single pass print engine that can print both B&W and colour documents at an impressive 20 pages per minute. This is faster than many A3 colour devices and ensures that you experience no loss of productivity when printing in colour.

There is no compromise on colour quality either, as the KX-MC6000 Series prints at 1200 x 1200 dpi, enabling even the smallest details and most subtle shades to be reproduced.

Colour scanning
Productivity benefits extend to the colour scanner, which can be used to capture and distribute paperbased information.

The devices offer both sheet-fed scanning via the 50-sheet automatic document feeder – perfect for the high speed scanning of loose pages – and flatbed scanning for magazines and books. Via either pull or push scan Twa in drivers and USB or standard network connectivity.

Scanned documents and images can be saved as PDFs, JPEGs or TIFFS and then archived, incorporated into electronic documents or converted into editable text using bundled Readiris optical character recognition (OCR) software.

Scan to email functionality lets you send colour documents across the world at the press of a button – without incurring postal or fax charges.

Super G3 Fax
A Super G3 fax function with transmission speeds of 4 pages per minute and crisp laser print quality provides another way to send and receive documents.

“Scan-to-email is likely to be the first choice for most users, but there are still companies that like to receive sales orders and the like by fax, so it is important for a small business or workgroup to have this capability,” explained James Hopkins, Marketing Executive for Panasonic Communication Company. “It lets you send documents when your PC is turned off and it provides a useful back-up in case you have problems with email.”

Fax standard memory of 10 MB enables faxes to be stored and sent when call charges are cheaper and received into memory when the MFP is out of paper.

A Fax Preview function on the top of the range KX-MC6260 lets you receive faxes into memory and view them on the colour LCD screen. Faxes can then be deleted, printed, emailed, saved to an SD card or transmitted to a PC or FTP server, saving paper and toner.

Walk-up Colour Copier
The KX-MC6000 Series also functions as a 20 page per minute walk-up colour copier that can be used even when connected PCs are turned off.

It copies via the ADF or flat platen, in colour or black and white at 600 x 600 dpi. Up to 99 copies can be made, with electronic collation, Quick ID Copy (for copying both sides of ID cards onto the same piece of paper), n-up copying and poster mode.

Conclusion
“In designing the KX-MC6000 Series our intention was to produce an all-in-one device that had all the productivity benefits of our award-winning A3 MFPs but in a smaller format for those who don’t have the room, need or budget for an A3 device,” Hopkins explained.

“Because home workers and small businesses can be short of space, we designed the all-in-ones to be incredibly compact. The output tray sits within the footprint of the device and all toner changes and paper jams can be accessed from the front or side, enabling our machines to be placed against a wall.”
