When filming using a video camera, jitter from tired hands can cause blurring and shaky looking shots. This can be especially visible in high zoom shots when even the tiniest hand-shake will be magnified. Panasonic eCams help solve this problem by employing an Optical Image Stabilizing (O.I.S.) system.

This system uses built-in gyrosensors to detect even miniscule camera movements and then shifts a lens in the opposite direction to compensate. The system is completely optical, therefore it does not affect the image sensor (CCD) or image processing - so you get sharp, clear images without any deterioration. As a result, all your home movies - even when watched on large screen TVs -- are smooth, clear, and professional looking!
