1920 x 1080 Full HD recording

As more and more of us have large widescreen High Definition televisions at home, we want to enjoy our home videos in the same quality. Accordingly, Panasonic's top-of-the-range eCams now offer 1920 x 1080 Full HD recording and playback - the perfect fit for your Full HD television.

While conventional HD Ready recordings have 1,440 pixels in the horizontal direction, Full HD recordings have 1,920. Compared to conventional HD recordings which have a total of around 1.55 million pixels, Full HD recordings have around 2.07 million - an astonishing 30 percent more.

When we compare that to standard definition recording the difference becomes even more astounding. Traditional Standard Definition recordings offered by most video cameras only have around 576 x 720 resolution, giving you around 400,000 pixels. Therefore, Panasonic's eCams with 1920 x 1080 are able to offer around 6x more resolution! In fact, full-HD has the most pixels of any HD format, and thus can render images with unmatched detail and resolution.
