Panasonic, the maker of the world’s first Full HD 3D Plasma Cinema System, today announced to introduce the DMP-BDT300, which is its first Full HD 3D Blu-ray Disc Player. With the introduction of 3D products for the home, viewers will get an unparalleled 3D experience with realistic and immersive sensation.

World's First Full HD 3D Blu-ray Player - DMP-BDT300

Full HD 3D Blu-ray Player - DMP-BDT300
Panasonic’s first Full HD 3D Blu-ray DiscTM Player DMP-BDT300 features the brand new exclusively developed UniPhier LSI chip for processing the large volume of Full HD 3D movies. This new UniPhier enables the player to output Full HD images in 1920x1080 resolutions in the so-called frame-sequential method. With this method, the images for left and right eye are displayed in alteration in order to create 3D images. Based on Panasonic Hollywood Laboratories’ research, the DMP-BDT300 stands out through its high quality picture reproduction technology, which works together seamlessly with compatible 3D TVs.

In addition to its 3D playback capabilities, the DMP-BDT300 also delivers the ultimate picture quality for both conventional Blu-ray Disc and DVD movies. Especially for Blu-ray Disc movies, Adaptive Chroma Upsampling reproduces original colour in the finest details. I/P conversion technology for DVD movies has been further advanced by Enhanced Full HD Upsampling to re-create and enhance missing details.

The DMP-BDT300 is also equipped with great networking functions including VIERA CAST, which will feature additional content from new partners this year, DLNA capability and a Wireless LAN adaptor. Users can also watch content from their digital cameras and camcorders by means of the integrated SD card slot and USB port. With the integrated SD card slot, AVCHD, MPEG2 and JPEG files taken with Camcorders or Digital Cameras can be played back, and with the integrated USB port, JPEG, DIvX Plus HD, and MP3 files can be played back. With its twin HDMI output, one output can be dedicated as an Audio signal output, thus achieving better sound quality and matching the needs of users who own customised cinema systems and legacy* audio equipment.

True to Cinema Picture Quality

New UniPhier Image Processor
The improved processing capabilities of this new engine make it an excellent match for the Frame Sequential technology used in FULL HD 3D. Its vibrant colour reproduction faithfully renders the original quality of each 3D image. Panasonic's unique technologies (PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus and Adaptive High Precision 4:4:4) also reproduce colours and details with even the slightest nuances, textures, and atmosphere of full-HD movies in 1080p— just as the filmmakers intended.

PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus
PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus is a high quality image-processing technology developed to precisely process each pixel of the Blu-ray DiscTM video signal in the vertical direction. It reproduces colour data with twice the accuracy of conventional systems to keep colours faithful and sharp.

Adaptive High Precision 4:4:4
Adaptive High Precision 4:4:4 reproduces the colour signals in horizontal directions with higher resolution. Not only Full HD movies in 1080p, concert and documentary films saved in 1080i are now reproduced with greater details than ever before. DMP-BD65/BD45 is compatible with High Precision 4:4:4.

New P4HD Enhanced Full HD Upsampling
With the new P4HD Enhanced full HD upsampling, the standard definition movies in DVD also approaches full HD quality. The picture is intelligently analyzed to have the best matching process done on each pixels.

True to Cinema Sound Quality

HDMI Jitter Purifier
In order to reduce this jitter error to the minimum in HDMI transfer, an HDMI Jitter Purifier has been added to our Blu-ray Disc™ player so for any AV receivers or TVs, the maximum Blu-ray sound potentially can be achieved.

Twin HDMI
One output can be dedicated to an audio signal output. The twin HDMI gives better sound quality and matches the needs of the users to have the customised cinema system with their legacy* audio equipments. (*Legacy referring to audio system incompatible to 3D content)

Digital Tube Sound
Panasonic has been studying the sound of vacuum tube amplifiers for over years. And now, we are able to faithfully simulate the characteristics of the distinctive warm comforting sound of the tube amplifiers. With this feature, 3 different kinds of vacuum tubes with different personalities can be enjoyed.

High Clarity Sound
When the analogue video terminal is not being used, the electrical current that flows through the analogue video circuit can be stopped. This prevents adverse effects on the audio signals and produces clearer sound. (* This functions only for Blu-ray disc™, DVDs, CDs and SD memory cards.)

7.1ch Analogue Out
The 7.1-channel analogue signal converted by the new 192kHz D/A converter is transmitted in high quality. This signal can be connected to a receiver that does not support HDMI.
