100Hz Motion Picture Pro

Typically, LCDs can suffer with blurring and ghosting when reproducing fast-moving images on screen. LCD technology requires pixels to go through three steps (active – inactive – active) to achieve a single response cycle; their response time can measure anywhere between 4 milliseconds to and 25 milliseconds. Accordingly even the fastest LCD screens can suffer with some degree of movement blurring
- particularly when watching fast moving sports such as football.

However, with Panasonic’s new 100Hz Motion Picture Pro technology, the common LCD issue of ‘motion picture lag’, has been significantly improved on Viera LCDs. By creating intermediate frames and inserting them between the original frames, new Viera LCD TVs are able to deliver crystal clear images, even when fast motion is displayed. Accordingly, Viera LCDs are ideal for watching action movies, football games, and broadcasts of other sports events.
