V-AUDIO: Advanced Smart Surround Sound System

Panasonic Viera TVs now deliver even better sound with V-AUDIO technology, featuring a combination of a unique digital amplifier, bamboo core speakers*, slim side speakers and SRS Tru Surround XT**. This audio technology offers outstanding clarity, rich bass, and superior sound localisation in the medium frequency range - in other words sound quality above and beyond expectations for a TV.

The advanced ultra-slim speaker units not only benefit the overall aesthetics of the Viera TV, but also deliver sounds all the way down to 350Hz - the kind of deep sounds which would normally be handled by a woofer in conventional systems. Even with its narrow aperture, the new speakers unit has superb directional characteristics, so everyone in the room enjoys outstanding sound quality.

The woofers use an enhanced passive radiator system to deliver and incredibly deep, clear sound. Using asymmetrical, contoured edges to prevent harmonic distortion that can occur with conventional passive radiator systems, this enhanced system delivers clearer sound than bass reflex systems of the same size.

Bamboo Speakers
The diaphragms for these speakers are uniquely made of bamboo fibres. Not only is bamboo a readily replenishing material with fast growth rates, it actually sounds better too. Compared to speakers with conventional diaphragms that use paper made from softwood, bamboo speakers have a wider sound range and crisper treble.
