Pre-Recording Function

How many times have you missed the moment you wanted to record because your video camera wasn't ready, or you pressed the 'record' button too late?

Never miss a critical shot again

Perhaps you thought you had pressed the record button in time, but the camera took too long to actually start recording? This is something all of us have experienced at one time or another! As a result you may have missed to actual moment your son shot his first goal. Or the first steps of your baby? You are not alone: Panasonic's eCam engineers have also had the same experiences in the past - and now they have introduced a "Pre Recording function" to help you avoid these scenarios from now on!

Pre-rec and no pre-rec comparison

To explain how it works, lets use an example: trying to capture your son scoring a goal at a football match. The problem, of course, is that very few shots actually result in goals, but you have to record every one just in case. Panasonic's new Pre-Record function eliminates this problem. When the Pre-Record function is on, the camcorder continuously records a loop of three seconds of images into an internal buffer memory. When you actually press the record button, the three seconds immediately prior are automatically added at the beginning of the clip you record. This lets you capture your son in the act of kicking the ball even if you don't press the record button until after he scored the goal!

So from sudden goals, to baby's first steps, to kids blowing out candles at birthday partys too soon -- the Pre-Record function is especially helpful in capturing any sudden shooting opportunity!
