Panasonic supports UNESCO to protect the World Heritage Sites

Panasonic develops its partnership with UNESCO

Our company sees it as vitally important to preserve unique cultural and natural sites for future generations. This is why we help UNESCO in protecting World Heritage Sites and providing environmental education to children.

UNESCO

A long tradition

Panasonic and UNESCO have been cooperating since 1995. In June 2011, both partners signed an agreement that further strengthens the collaboration. As a result we have taken on exclusive sponsoring of the monthly programme “The World Heritage Special”, which is broadcasted worldwide on the National Geographic TV channel.

Environmental education for future generations

In addition to sponsoring this programme, new communication activities and education schemes enhance the long-standing partnership with UNESCO. As an example, we supply 3D equipment and other audio/video devices that are used for competitions and events for children. Supporting environmental education is very important to Panasonic. By supporting the work of organisations such as UNESCO with dynamic Audio Visual, we seek to engage the next generation in this subject. We want them to understand the importance of nature and our environment, be inspired by it and simultaneously learn how to preserve it.

By the way::
Together with UNESCO, we have for many years been promoting the preservation of “world heritage” by means of an exceptional calendar. Since January 2011, it has been available to download along with its impressive photography.
