The Kelton subwoofer uses a dual chamber structure, with a drive unit in the rear chamber and a 25cm Passive Radiator in the front chamber. The drive unit vibrates the front chamber, which causes the large Passive Radiator to vibrate and produce bass sounds. With this structure the front chamber serves as an acoustic fi lter, so you get a crisp sound with minimal noise. The thinness and high compliance of the passive radiator also help achieve an exceptionally clean, robust and responsive bass performance.

A rigid, low-density bamboo material used in the center speaker's diaphragms helps achieve a clean, responsive sound. Vocals are pure and clear, and dialog is crisp and easy to understand.

Creating an HD image from a non-HD source, it requires obtain as much information as possible about each pixel in the original image. In the up-conversion process, the PT-860 calculates eight pixels in the horizontal direction and eight in the vertical direction at the same time using a high-speed algorithm. The information obtained in this process is used to create smooth, natural-looking, high-resolution 1080p images.

As the types of media continue to increase, the VIERA Link capability continues to evolve. The newly enhanced VIERA Link displays a menu on the TV screen, making it easier to operate the connected equipment. For example, you can display a menu with a list of the music stored on your iPod, and use the VIERA remote control unit to select one and begin playback.
