Christine Ohuruogu, the Olympic gold medallist, who was crowned Olympic champion after a thrilling 400m final at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, received a present from Panasonic, worldwide Olympic Games partner and Team GB sponsor.
Fresh from attending the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year awards on Sunday night where she made it onto the list of finalists, Christine took a break at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre, where she has resumed training ahead of the start of the 2009 Indoor season, to receive a 32” Panasonic Viera screen with HD Freesat built in and a Blu-ray player.
The TV’s are being given to all 27 Olympic gold medallists by Panasonic in recognition of their hard work that kept the UK glued to their televisions for the two weeks of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and lifted the nation’s spirits.
