Panasonic today announced that it has been awarded the European HD Flash Cam 2009-2010 for its HDC-TM300 High Definition (HD) camcorder that features a newly developed 3MOS chip system and incorporates a touch-screen that allows icons displayed on the LCD to be easily operated by touching them with a fingertip. Along with the European HD Flash Cam 2009-2010 Award for the HDC-TM300, three additional EISA Awards were awarded to Panasonic: European Plasma TV 2009-2010 (VIERA TX-P42V10), European Multimedia Camera 2009-2010 (DMC-GH1), and European Micro System 2009-2010 (Panasonic SC-HC3). The four EISA Awards follows last year’s solid performance in which Panasonic also won four awards.
“We are extremely pleased to receive the European HD Flash Cam 2009-2010 Award from an organization as widely respected as EISA. We’ll continue to work hard at improving our range of High Definition camcorders with new and advanced features that will allow consumers to easily record videos in best quality and view their memories on large High Definition TVs,” says Sven Dabelstein, Senior Manager, Product Marketing DSC/Camcorder/GA – Consumer Group, Panasonic Marketing Europe GmbH.
“Easy handling, top technology and professional features are combined perfectly in Panasonic’s HDC-TM300 HD camcorder. Its high-resolution, high-sensitivity 3MOS image sensor system, together with advanced optical picture stabilization, secures good pictures in all kinds of shooting conditions. Effective picture processing is provided along with many sophisticated, fully automatic functions, including an intelligent tracking system,” the judges at EISA noted.
The HDC-TM300 is a “twin memory” camcorder as the model can record to the 32GB built-in memory or to an SD Memory Card. The new 3MOS system assures high image quality for both motion and still images by using three full-HD MOS sensors to provide the world’s highest total pixel count of 9,150,000 pixels (3,050,000 pixels x 3)*. The semi-professional camcorder is equipped with a newly developed, large-aperture Leica Dicomar lens (filter diameter: 43 mm) and a 1/4.1-inch image sensor. The Manual Ring offers users the opportunity to access quickly manual functions and control the picture perfectly.
Visitors to the IFA 2009 Consumer Electronics Exhibition in Berlin from 4 - 9 September 2009 (Hall 5.2 a/b) will have the chance to take a closer look at the camcorder.
The EISA Awards will be officially presented during the official EISA Awards Ceremony on September 4th at the Adlon Kempinski Hotel in Berlin. Established in 1982, the European Imaging Sound Association (EISA) is a multimedia association that tests consumer electronic products. Its membership includes 50 audio, mobile, video and photo magazines from twenty European countries.
* For home-use camcorders, as of January 7, 2009. Effective motion image pixels: 6,210,000 (2,070,000 pixels x 3).
