Panasonic Help Macmillan’s Christmas Wishes Come True
Panasonic is pleased to support Macmillan Cancer Support’s Celebrity Christmas Stocking Auction on 2 December at the Waldorf Hotel.
The exclusive event invites the crème de la crème of the celebrity world to create a wish-list of their perfect Christmas gifts, these dream Christmas stockings are then put together ready to be sold to the highest bidder. Celebrity hosts and an expert auctioneer are on hand to raise as much money as they can for the leading cancer care charity.
Andie MacDowell’s wish list from Santa included a pocket sized camcorder – ideal for travelling - which is where Panasonic stepped in by providing the SDR-S7 SD camcorder. The S7 is a stylish model with an ultra-compact, go-anywhere design.
Other celebrities to reveal what they would like from Santa include Kevin Spacey, Andie MacDowell, Torvill & Dean, Anya Hindmarch and Lulu to name just a few. In true celebrity style there are several luxury items including a stay at the China Club Beijing, Clive Christian perfume, Barton Perriera sunglasses, dinner at the Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Restaurant and not forgetting the 5 star holidays to exotic destinations such as the premier W Retreat and Spa in the Maldives and The Crane Hotel in Barbados.
Macmillan Cancer Support hopes that the stockings, which also include a personal item from the celebrity, will cause a bidding frenzy among guests looking for a Christmas gift that money can’t buy.
Last year, guests really did dig deep and raised a staggering £200,000. Macmillan hopes guests at this year’s event will be just as generous and help make the night a huge success.
Money raised on the night will help Macmillan Cancer Support improve the lives of those affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support.
