Advanced Optical Image Stabiliser (O.I.S.)

You no longer need a steady hand in shooting with camcorders. With Advanced OIS you get great, crisp, clear videos and still pictures.

Panasonic camcorders feature an anti-blurring functionality called Advanced O.I.S., when gyrosensors detect hand-shake, a lens unit shifts to correctly align the optical axis, so that images are sharp and blur-free. This happens at a remarkable rate of 4,000 times per second. Users can capture clear, sharp images even when shooting long-distance zoom shots, where hand-shake is typically a big concern. Because the Panasonic system is optical, there is no loss of quality – images are captured in their full original beauty.

Advanced O.I.S. now features a dedicated Movie and Photo mode. While filming video footage, the O.I.S. system continuously corrects the image so you can record clearly.

By pressing the O.I.S. button once for a still photo, the image is corrected the instant you press the shutter button, for an even greater still photo corrective effect. So regardless whether you are shooting video footage or taking a still, your images will look great every time.

Advanced O.I.S. is truly necessary in times when large screen HDTVs can make even minor blurring a major problem.
