In digital audio, the reduction of clock jitter is the key to having high quality sound. In HDMI transfer, the audio clock is combined into video clock and the receiver regenerates audio clock from the video clock. It is difficult to produce audio clocks without jitter errors during regeneration, because of the un-dividables in the equation. In order to reduce this jitter error to the minimum, HDMI Jitter Purifier has been added to Blu-ray Disc™ player so for any AV receivers or TVs, the maximum potential of Blu-ray sound can be achieved.
