Vitamin-Safe Compartment

Vitamin-Safe helps preserving vital nutrients, and also allows storing fruit and vegetables separately at their ideal storage temperatures. Fruit and vegetables start losing valuable nutrition from the moment they are placed in the normal refrigerator.

The Vitamin-Safe compartment is optimised to a high humidity level. The temperature can be adjusted between 0˚ and 5˚ C, to ensure fruits and vegetables stay fresher.

Retaining Vitamins

Panasonic installed two flashing LEDs in the vitamin-safe compartment to simulate the blue and green hues of sunlight. They continue working even when the door is closed. The LEDs activate your fruit and vegetables’ natural defences and stops them losing vitamins. It really works, and the effect of our LEDs has been tested and certified by SLG, a renowned independent test laboratory.

The new Panasonic fridge-freezer can operate on five different power levels, to make the best use of energy while conventional fridge-freezers only have one. Inverter technology runs on minimal power overnight and at other times when the fridge-freezer less used. This saves valuable energy while reserving power for quickly freezing items when needed.

Variable operation saves energy

Variable operations automatically adjust the energy that is being used, which saves even more power. The Inverter compressor, temperature sensors and microprocessor technology work together to help the inverter finely adjust the compressor. This means it can operate at the most appropriate power level. And it takes into account the temperature inside the fridge-freezer, to give you the best chilling and freezing results without wasting energy.

Efficient power consumption

With Inverter technology from Panasonic the fridge-freezers make it one of the most energy efficient, with a rating of A++* with NoFrost technology, the best one can attain based on energy consumption. Being able to fine tune the operation of the compressor, Panasonic refrigerators provide optimal cooling while minimising power consumption. The same efficient, energy saving Inverter technology in Panasonic’s fridge-freezers can be found in our washing machines as well.

Clean air inside the fridge-freezer
Hygiene Active uses Silver as a filter to clean the air inside the fridge-freezer. The combination of the silver filter and blue LED light forms an antibacterial cleanser called “Hydroxy Radical” which naturally occurs in the troposphere. The double-effect of silver and the Hydroxy Radical, eliminates 99.9999% * of harmful bacteria in the fridge-freezer.

Learning from nature
The Hydroxyl radical occurs naturally in the troposphere and it reacts with many pollutants. Natural sunlight and moisture in the air create Hydroxyl Radical, which reacts with pollutants by removing them from the troposphere, cleansing the air that surrounds us. This natural effect is reproduced with Hygiene Active. The combination of silver ions, water mist and the blue light produce the Hydroxyl Radical for a split second, eliminating harmful bacteria from the air.

Air circulation and Deodorising filter
At the top of the Panasonic fridge-freezer, a circulating fan pulls in cold air from the main compartment, through the Hygiene Active filter and deodoriser, then sends clean air back in. So there is always clean and fresh air inside the fridge-freezer. When a fridge-freezer smells fresh, it’s a good sign that it’s clean and free of harmful bacteria. The Zeolite filter from Panasonic eliminates unwanted odours, keeping your fridge-freezer smelling clean and food smelling fresh.
