The speakers are able to reproduce sound with outstanding clarity and range whilst also giving the effect of a multi-channel surround system - without the intrusive surround speakers and wiring normally associated with surround systems.
Setting up your HD Home Cinema System
Setting up your HD Home Cinema System couldn’t be easier. All Panasonic HD Home Cinemas are equipped with HDMI connections – the first and only digital interface to combine uncompressed high-definition video and multi-channel audio in a single digital cable. Unlike in the past were you needed to attach the complicated visual and sound leads separately, you now simply need to connect your player/amplifier to your HD TV via a single HDMI lead …and you are done! Connecting your speakers has become easier too – especially thanks to the wireless rear-speakers available with some of the latest Panasonic Home Cinema kits. These systems transmit the audio signals by radio waves so you don’t need to run cables from the main unit to the rear speakers.
Panasonic even helps you easily configure and get the best performance out of the speakers though the ‘Auto Speaker Set up’ function, which configures speaker settings quickly and easily. Simply connect the speaker set up microphone, place it in your usual listening position and the Auto Speaker Set up detects the distances creating the optimal listening environment for your room! VIERA Link: Intelligent control for your intelligent Panasonic Home Cinema System
VIERA Link is a super-useful concept which uses the same HDMI cables, mentioned previously in this article, to also transmit control signals between different devices. You get universal control of your Panasonic audio and visual equipment, without having to worry about trying to figure out which remote control to use. Just point the VIERA remote at your VIERA TV, and the signal will travel over the HDMI wires to the right piece of equipment, whether it be a Panasonic Blu-ray player or Home Cinema Surround system.
For example, just press the “Play” button on the VIERA remote control and the system does the rest. All components turn on, the correct VIERA input is selected, the TV built-in speaker sound is muted, and the Home Cinema starts playback. It all happens automatically and in an instant. The sound volume is right on the VIERA remote control. As you operate the sound volume up or down, the home theatre’s sound volume is automatically turned up or down accordingly.
One-Touch Speaker Switching If you call up the Viera Link on-screen display menu and select “Home Cinema,” the home theatre turns on and audio playback switches from the VIERA TV speakers to the home theatre speakers. If you turn off the home theatre, the audio automatically switches back to the VIERA TV speakers.
One-Touch Volume Control When the audio is being output from the home theatre, you can adjust the sound volume right on the VIERA remote control. As you operate the sound volume up or down, the home theatre’s sound volume is automatically turned up or down accordingly.
