Stunning Performance Purchased this with a new TX-P55VT50B (separate review for Plasma) This Blu-Ray player is Panasonics new 2012 top of the range Blu-Ray Player, Wi-Fi, DNLA, (3D with an appropriate TV and glasses) used with the above Panasonic plasma it is outstanding plenty of tweaks within the setup if you wish to personalise your preferences and setup. Picture is stunning whether in 2D or 3D its just that 3D take you into another world of perfection in picture quality outstanding clear, well balanced & believable. Wi-Fi & DNLA great for watching or listening to movies / music stored on your computer or hard drive, you can also connect to the internet and watch You Tube, iplayer plus much more, but don`t forget these internet items will only be as good as your download speed of your internet provider! I have mine set up with HDMI to Plasma and Digital Audio to surround amp 100% I have nothing Negative to report. 07 August 2012
Absolutely Awful Blu-Ray discs and stuff all work fine but in comparison to the PS3 as a device capable of playing files on the Home Network it is awful. The interface in itself is very bad, using the remote to type in info is beyond hard and extremely long. I have downloaded numerous streaming software and none will play certain files I have, those very same files play just fine on the PS3. If you're buying this solely for the Blu-Ray's and Audio Cd's then go on but if you're hoping to play HD Home Recorded videos then just buy a PS3, it is a lot cheaper and better. 24 June 2012
Seeing is believing Wanted high end audio and twin hdmi's -found both in this sleek eye and ear candy Panasonic is having a good year and has upped its blu ray game to seriously trouble the opposition 05 June 2012
Well impressed I bought this player nearly a month ago now and I am well impressed. Picture is spot on and the sound quality through the on board 7.1 channel decoder is excellent. It loads Blurays very quickly. My last player took forever. Looks great - be it rather small next to my reciever. The touch pad remote works fine and my daughter of 19 loves the touch pad feature. Build quality seems good too. It feels good out of the box. I've always bought expensive players before but can't see why with this piece of kit. The network features all seem to work fine but I am not interested in the on line internet features 18 May 2012
