The interactive touch screen interface offers users an intuitive way to operate the camera, allowing the user to easily take high quality photos, view them and organize them afterwards.

Fingertip control with joystick and touch screen

The advanced LUMIX user interface offers a hybrid control system that combines touch screen and joystick control that allows intuitive and quick menu access. The touch screen interface enables users to make adjustments to settings, etc by simple touch, using either their finger or the accompanying LUMIX stylus-pen.

With the Face Recognition function simply touch the person’s face on the LCD screen on the digital still camera that you wish to register. You can also make specific operational adjustments using the on-screen sliders, for example if you would like to adjust aperture and shutter speeds in manual exposure mode, or to set the auto focus and exposure in frames. Thanks to the Face Recognition function you can playback later on all pictures of your favourite friends with a fingertip.

The touch screen function is also great in playback mode, as fewer buttons mean space for a larger screen and better viewing. The enhanced organisation menu adds the ability to flip through photos with simple page sliding. With the simple swipe of your finger across the LCD screen on the digital still camera you can scroll through your photos and even edit photos using the same touch menu interface. Additionally, you can add photo captions using an on-screen keyboard.
