HD Movie in AVCHD Lite Recording
The TZ10 records HD motion images with 1280 x 720-pixel resolution. It uses the AVCHD Lite (MPEG-4/H.264), which achieves higher image quality while using less data than conventional Motion JPEG. Thanks to intelligent Auto (iA) also available for movie shooting, you can be assured that your moving moments are captured at its highest quality.
The built-in stereo mic with Dolby® Digital Stereo Creator & Wind cut function also ensure that the accompanying sound is recorded in dynamic true-to-life audio quality.
25mm Wide-Angle Lens
When you want to shoot a picture of all your friends when space is tight, there is no real substitute for a wide-angle lens. Because the viewing area of the 25mm Wide-Angle LEICA DC VARIOELMAR Lens* is nearly double the size of a standard 35mm lens, you can fit much more of the scene into the frame.

Map your memories with GPS
The TZ10 uses the Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine your latitude and longitude, and automatically displays the location and area name on the LCD. It even displays the names of famous sightseeing locations. Positional data is also recorded with the image, making it easier to sort your photos by location and to arrange slideshows. When you return home, you can place thumbnail images onto an online map displayed on your PC.
