Hollywood movies are shot at 24 frames per second which gives films the superb, cinematic, slightly flickering quality we associate with them at the movie theatre.

When recorded to DVD or Blu-ray Disc™, they are also generally encoded using 24p (24 frames per second, progressive) technology.

For perfectly smooth movie images at home, 24p Smooth Film increases the number of frames displayed. That means new frames are inserted, based on the original 24 frames of the movie source, and the frame count is increased to up to 96 frames per second, resulting in unrivalled smoothness and motion transition.
