VIERA NeoPDP is an entirely new generation of Panasonic Plasma TV. It is based on newly developed picture enhancement technologies, all of which combines improved picture quality with energy efficiency features, housed in a super-slim stunning design. Outstanding Contrast

VIERA NeoPDP TVs has an ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of over 2,000,000:1 thanks to a newly developed discharge gas. This translates into deep, true black tones and brighter whites for more vibrant and lifelike pictures with every film or TV programme.

Double luminous efficiency

Since offering eco-friendly products is important to Panasonic, we have developed new materials for the VIERA NeoPDP range which enables the televisions to deliver twice the luminous efficiency of previous models. The result is less power consumption without compromising on image quality.

Sharper pictures

To ensure that sporting events, action films and gaming picture quality is smooth and without judder, VIERA NeoPDP employs 600Hz Sub-field Drive with Intelligent Frame Creation Pro. Based on 600Hz technology, the internal processor creates 600 Sub-fields, afterwards an intelligent algorithm selects the best ones to optimise the flow of motion on the screen.

VIERA Tough Panel
Thanks to the Tough Panel on all VIERA Plasma TVs*, you do not need to worry about serious screen damage. The front sheet of glass on the TV is resistant to impacts of up to four joules, which is particularly reassuring for families with small children and gamers who use motion controllers.

Environmentally friendly features
Panasonic aims to reduce CO2 emissions, waste and chemical substance usage as much as possible throughout a product‘s entire lifecycle, creating value for an eco-friendly lifestyle and to further reduce environmental impact.

Panasonic VIERA Plasma TVs are designed to provide a panel life of up to 100,000 hours, providing up to 35 years of superb entertainment. By creating a long-life design, Panasonic extends the usage possibility which reduces waste.

Panasonic has developed a lead alternative substance and eliminated the use of harmful lead in VIERA plasma TVs, a first for any manufacturer in the world. This reduces the impact on the environment when recycling or disposing of VIERA plasma TVs in the future.

Save Energy with VIERA
The Panasonic advanced VIERA Link function has been further developed for new 2009 VIERA TV models to provide friendlier features. One example is the energy-saving Eco Link, which can put all connected Panasonic devices into Stand By Mode when they are not in use.

Standard on most VIERA TVs, Eco Mode uses a photo sensor to measure the ambient light in the room, then adjusts the panel’s brightness accordingly. As a result, a VIERA TV uses up to 55% less power** in darkly lit conditions.

With an ultra-thinness of only one inch (2.47 cm), the VIERA NeoPDP plasma Z1 series takes impeccable style to a whole new level. Combining a lightweight design, perfect for hanging on the wall, with an elegant brushed-aluminium bezel to make a sophisticated aesthetic statement.

Panasonic places special importance on using valuable materials, such as stylish aluminium with a modern brushed finish – every detail of the features, housing design and placement of the buttons has also been carefully considered.

The IPTV VIERA CAST application provides you access to YouTube™, Eurosport™ and Google’s Picasa Web Albums™ at the touch of one button***. Enjoy YouTube™ and Eurosport™ videos in full widescreen playback – or comfortably share your favourite photos on Picasa™ Web Albums with family and friends without having to crowd around a PC. Simply connect the VIERA TV to your high-speed Internet router and VIERA CAST will do all the rest. It will constantly update itself and enables you to seamlessly switch between your TV programme and selected online entertainment.

The VIERA Image Viewer function allows you to simply insert an SD Card in the slot on the TV and your photos and home movies² will appear on the television as lifelike as the moment you captured them!

DLNA
For added convenience, VIERA offers the DLNA connectivity standard (Digital Living Network Alliance).

This means you can connect a PC to your VIERA TV via an Ethernet cable and conveniently playback DivX(3) movies on a large VIERA flat screen TV.
