Panasonic has introduced a range of camcorders* which record directly onto an SD Memory Card. This range of Panasonic camcorders are so compact that they literally fit in the palm of your hand. Being so small in size, they can be taken everywhere. But what if you want to take one with you when you are doing activities such as: cycling, rock climbing, swimming, skiing, or snorkelling? You might be concerned about the possible damage to the camcorder caused from active, dusty and/or wet conditions.

Panasonic recognises the active lives enjoyed by many people today and therefore, has made its new SD camcorder as resilient as possible. The benefit for you is you can take your Panasonic camcorder everywhere.

For example, the Panasonic SDR-SW20 SD camcorder is waterproof* up to a depth of 1.5 metres which enables you to go swimming or snorkelling with it. And the best part, you can capture shots of beautiful coral reefs, exotic fish, or your children snorkelling – without worry. The SDR-SW20 also gives you the opportunity to wet conditions such as rain and/or snow.

But how is this possible, you may ask? Panasonic has fortified the outer body casing of the SDR-SW20, making it thicker whilst also protecting and cushioning the main circuit board and lens with an intermediate resin chassis. The SD Memory card recording media has no moving parts either making it very versatile. Thanks to both these factors it is certified shockproof up to 1.2 meters – meaning you can take it with you on higher-impact activities like hiking or horse-back riding.

The design is entirely dustproof* keeping it safe even if handled with dirty hands or used in sandy/dusty conditions, like at the beach or on safari!
