British Gold Medallist 'Somerset Slider'

Williams, who became the first individual British Gold medallist at a Winter Olympics for 30 years having won the skeleton event in Vancouver, was given a 50 inch VT20 3D TV and a DMP-BDT300 3D Blu-ray player in acknowledgment of her Olympic Games success and in return for the huge enjoyment she brought the nation during the Games.

Amy Williams, nicknamed the Somerset Slider, commented:

“Since winning gold in Vancouver my life has pretty much remained in the fast lane. It’s been really hectic with one thing and another and it’s only just starting to slow down, so that’s why I’m so delighted to receive this magnificent 3D TV. I love watching films with my friends so I can’t wait to invite them all round to watch it.”
